BACHELOR'S THESIS (BT)
- Regulations governing Bachelor's Thesis at the Faculty of Chemistry
- Specific criteria
- There are two examination sessions: June and September. Students who wish to undertake the Internship in the first semester so that they can be assessed in December/January must submit a request to the Sescelades Campus Secretariat for the first examination session to be BROUGHT FORWARD.
- Bachelor's thesis confidentiality agreement
- Template for BT Agreement with entities external to the URV
When the Bachelor's Thesis is carried out at an entity external to the URV (company, institution, research centre, etc.), an educational cooperation agreement must be signed between the Faculty of Chemistry and the other entity in which the exact detailed of the internship are specified.
Procedure
- Educational cooperation agreement: The student must contact the Dean's Support Office to check if an agreement is already in place with this entity or if one needs to be created
- Specific agreement model (paid) or Specific agreement model (not paid). Both the student and the collaborating entity must fill in ONLINE all of the information that is requested in each section. After they have filled in the agreement and before signing it and at least 10 days before the internship begins, they must submit it electronically to the Dean's Support Office (deganat.fq(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat), which will review the agreement and complete it with the reference data from the educational cooperation agreement (agreement code and date of signature). The Dean's Support Office will then return the agreement to the student and the entity so that they print off and sign three copies of it before the student takes all three copies to the faculty to be signed by the dean; the faculty will keep one copy and then give the other two back to the student. The student will keep one of these and give the other to the entity.
INTERNSHIPS
There are two types of internship: curricular and extracurricular. Curricular internships are conducted through the 'Internships' subject on the curriculum and therefore receive academic recognition. Extracurricular internships are undertaken voluntarily by the student and do not receive any academic recognition. Further information. From 2021-2022 academic year, extracurricular internships carried out in private companies must be remunerated according to the URV's external internship regulations.
